CRYSTALLISATION TECHNIQUE

ATLAS WODER SX is a technologically innovative product - it not only effectively seals the concrete structure, but thanks to the crystallization effect it also closes cracks up to 0.3 mm wide that may appear in the substrate during operation. The cracks are closed by water-insoluble salts that crystallize and gradually stop leaks. The salt crystals are deposited in the cracks until the cracks are completely filled, which leads to sealing and the disappearance of seepage water. Crystallization insulates the surface and provides additional protection to the substrate, even in the event of local damage to the coating or substrate. This provides permanent and constant protection against moisture and water.
• ATLAS WODER SX protects against negative and positive water pressure. It is versatile. It is recommended for waterproofing underground parts of buildings, foundations, basements, plinths, external stairs, balconies and engineering structures such as collection tanks for municipal waste water, liquid manure, etc.
• It is particularly suitable for sealing reinforced concrete tanks, weirs, culverts, wells, etc. – because it is able to seal microcracks itself.
• It can be used to seal building partition walls in historic buildings, even on surfaces heavily contaminated with building salts.
• It is used for the trough-shaped sealing of permanently damp buildings.
• It can be used as a composite waterproofing under tiles – indoors and outdoors, on mineral substrates such as cement screeds, concrete surfaces, etc.
• In combination with the ATLAS HYDROBAND 3G sealing tape embedded in the waterproofing, it enables effective protection of corners and expansion joints – the tape (reinforcement of the coating) is necessary in places with stress concentrations – it protects the edges of wall and screed connections as well as expansion joints.
• It can be used as a first waterproofing layer on very damp masonry and allows the application of external waterproofing made of bituminous coatings, e.g. KMB type compounds such as IZOHAN WM-2K.
